What was your very first car?

I had one of them, stage rally prepped, was cool.

First car was a 78' Morris Marina, 1800TC. Had loadsa fun in it.

Mine was standard except I had the flywheel lightend, I could spin the wheels in the first three gears from a standing start......Now that was COOL!

1966 Mk1 Cortina, white with red interia, wide wheels and tyres from a friend who worked at fords, but the worst thing is on a recent visit to the Museum of London, there was an identical motor hanging from the roof as an exhibit.

First car was a B-Reg jobby brown Vauxhall Nova 993CC. Full of dents and scar, but started daily and served a purpose for 3 yrs.

I then got a G plate Nova `pearl` 1.3i which was silver and quite fast, great for cornering as well.

Then got given my T-reg Astra that I still have, a 1.6ls, the wife now drives it.

I got a N-reg Volvo 440 1.8LX which i hated. All the steering bushes were knackered and the anti-roll bar was shot. It needed ball joints all round as well, so by the time i did the work I`d had enough of it as it was leaking water in through the boot and stunk.

So i finally got the surf.

My first car was an 1100cc mk1 Ford escort estate - talk about underpowered

For those who are not aware the estate was designed for the 1300, so the 1100 struggled with removing the skin from a rice pudding , boy did that heap shake at 60+mph

3.0 Granada (like Jack Regan!) closely followed by its totty magnet stablemate a Triumph TR6, you dont even want to know wot that lot cost to insure at 18!

Reliant Regal - loved it - and best bit was driving up a steep hill in the snow and passing cars that had got stuck - not once but at least 5 times that bad winter.

worst time wwas coming outside (same winter) and finding I could only see the roof thanks to the blizzard that had accumalated snow all down or Cul-De-Sac!

Mine was a 1981 Datson 120 1500cc 2door coupe sky blue with wide alloy wheels. It was crash repaired before I bought it £600 and £400 to insure it keepet it for ages then had to sell it so I could buy a 4 door car (new addition to the family) whent every where in it never let me down a little tier came to my eye when I sold it.

1st car was a mini that was given to me instead of going to breakers as it still had six months mot, and three shocks and loads of rust.it went to the breakers six months later! then 2 mk1 escorts,mk1 cavalier, early honda crx. then hilux pickup for 12yrs got married had a baby, got double cab hilux.
