Less than half an engine revolution and it's started?
Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

Right, I seem to be mistaken here.

I always thought Diesel engines, bar failure, had to be starved of fuel to stop. Therefore, in a perfect world it would need at least one induction followed by one compression stroke (on the same cylinder) to start. How does the LC engine combine those 2 strokes into les than half a revolution?

i really dont know, i get you when you say about diesels have to be starved.. otherwise if diesel kept entering the cylinder then it would keep getting burned.

may be it has something to do with them having 6 cylinders?

That doesn't matter, as far as I am aware, each cylinder needs to do 2 full strokes before it fires.

Do I have to take the crank etc off to get to the back bolt?
