That's the best advice. Wouldn't touch either plasma or L.C.D, personally. Saying that though, with the crap they're throwing out via digital broadcast these days, and the crap processing circuitry which seems to be used with most T.V's I've seen, pictures can't really get any worse whatever you get.

Ironically, however, thanks to the likes of the news channels and such, screen burn has a higher probability of occuring these days than it used to have. Channel 5 is about the only channel which uses a soft logo that I can think of offhand. The news tickers and hard logos can induce screen burn over time.

They can be programmed to "screen wipe" at set intervals to prevent this and set to extended life.

With the prices nowadays you can get better than LG. They used to use phillips gubbins but dont know what they use now.

Nope 6 yrs, go into menu and select screen wipe and then select every 5 to 60mins.
Then the screen goes through white to black then back to pic.
If you go into adsa or tecso and the screens are white grey or black for about 60 secs it's wiping the screen.

Nope, i read up a lot before i bought both of mine. I did fit the wall brackets though. For the price, yes. Go into somewhere like pcworld or comet and have a play with the pics on tvs and see the difference, samsung pic was a lot crisper than some bravias.
