My accident update

Thanks for that pops and Ian much appreciated.All i need to do now is get the steering column extended,the hi/lo selector extended and the fuel filler hose then i can get the bodylift fitted and then get ready for the suspension lift

the pickup was manual and had a bodge on the steering ....

A tip for ya Rich when you take the plastic cover off the stearing shaft it serves as a perfect tool for extending the fuel filler.
You'll know what I mean when you go to do it.

Unfortunatly no, but if your stuck for extending your gearstick I might still have mine somewhere.

i was going to get one of the steering column extension bits but i was just gonna extend the hi/lo lever myself cause i don't think i'll be able to off road the truck once lifted

Another Update

I have been called to a meeting next Thursday with NetworkRail HR and management to talk about my future with the company,hopefully it will go my way and i'll be kept on in the office but who knows.
I got the staff rep attending with me also so i will have some back up.
I don't mind having a pay cut aslong as i get compensated for it.
I will update again next week after the meeting

Another update

Went to the meeting today with H/R and management and things never turned out like i thought or expected.
I was told there are 2 options and they were either re-posting in the company or laid off.
To cut a long storey short its looking like i will be out of work now as there's no vacancies for office staff in Cornwall in NetworkRail.There is going to be another meeting in 3-4 weeks and i should know the final out come of it all.
If i am laid off then i won't even have to work my 3 months notice and i'll be laid off there and then with 7 years severance pay of about 3k
My depot manager never even bothered putting a case forward to keep me in the office
I reacon they will just let me go and then let the railway insurers pay up instead of them paying out of the budget.

well id look at it thats its extra on top of yr claim mate,plus with the way things are you will get a little workshop dead cheap
