I suspect that's where your problem lies? Who the fuk told you they were all at 12 o'clock?
The lack of a question mark made me think you'd made a statement rather than asked a question.
You should be asking how to time it before you do the work, not after. Your "question" makes it look like you've set the timing marks at 12 o'clock the first time you set it up.
So hear is the mistake i made, i took it that the white mark at the top was the timing mark but no harm done to the engine, good job a ran it round a few times by hand to make sure nothing was catching. all is fine now, just need to bleed the bleedin air out the water.
My moneys on either pump timing or air in the pump (EW bet !)
Logicaly thinking, oil pressure problems wont make it hard to start, cure the poor starting and I reckon youll cure the noise.
Oh.........think I may have to go for an accumalator bet..............cam timing would also give the same symptons (1 tooth out ?)
Hope this helps

Good News Roy !!............................ ....how much do I win ??
