why is vista so crap ??
if you use office 2007 along with xp, and ie7, the menus and the way you do things is a lot better and easier once you know how to do them. because its different that 2000, xp, 95 and 98.
like riding a bike, once u know how its easy..Oh Nana, what's my name?

If it needs 2Gb, i'm sure an extra £20 or so wont break the bank. Hardware is cheaper than its ever been and getting cheaper daily (I saw a PC with a 17" LCD monitor etc for £299 on the telly before) so why moan that the new OS wont run on the crappy old hardware you had two years ago?Oh Nana, what's my name?

Geforce Go 7300 - model of the card
128Mb -size of the Memory on the card
1.6GB x2 L2 cache - 1.6GB could be the disk size or more likely 1.6Ghz which is the speed of the processor
L2 cache - Level 2 cache - this acts as a buffer between the processor and the memory for swapping in/out control sequences
PS I believe it was me that stated Vista is crap. I have worked both different versions of MS OSes (from Wind 3.1, Win 95, Win98, Win98 SE, Win NT 3.51, Win NT 4.0, Win XP and finally Vista) and personally I hate vista due to previous items stated plus many more.
I have bought machines with Vista on and used the Vista license for backwards licensing purpose to install XP over the top.
forgot to mention its dual core!
the x2 means it has two cpu's on one die (i think)
it may, or may not have 2 seperate cpus, but it has two lolOh Nana, what's my name?

What you have here Gra is a bunch of nerds who expect an OS targetted at that 95% to do allsorts of weird cr@p that no-one in their right mind would want to do
I used to use Solaris years ago, to run a data gatherer at pretty high data rates, and uninterrupted. Windows couldn't do it properly, hence the use of Solaris. It was great for that, but it was a BIG PITA to use, difficult to learn to use, and when it threw a wobbler, nigh on impossible for mere mortals to sort out. Would I use it at home? Would I hell!
I've always used Windows of some description at home because it does what I need, doesn't demand that I do software as a hobby, and 99.9% of the time 'just works'. That is Microsoft's market, and they do that bit well from what I can see.
I like the look of MACs (aesthetically speaking) but think the OS is a bit too Solaris GUI like for comfort Whoever heard of dragging a drive to the trash to eject a CD?! Thats cr@p!
I expect when we upgrade our laptop this christmas, we'll find Vista does everything we want just fine.If you play with fire.....
