I'll trot out my old 'each of these trucks seem to be different' line again, but if you drop the rod to the angle it was at originally, the axle's horizontal position will be where it was originally. You cannot argue with the laws of mathematics.

Joe, I think you have an adjustable rod and a drop bracket because the suspension lift you have is so big (I think I remember you saying it was 6"). you should be able to find a suitable bush to fit. I wouldn't go swapping it for a standard one just because you have a drop bracket, you may find it has been adjusted to it's limit and the drop bracket was fitted to make sure the axle remained centred.
