  • Panhard rod

I have an adjustable after market panhard rod fitted to the truck and a bush has gone, are these easy to get replacements for as the MOT is in few days? Thanx all, Joe

Bit more info would be helpful. What make of rod? Is it the standard one that has been adapted? What do you mean by gone?

sorry it took soo long to reply but some plonka crashed into our telegraph pole and weve been having problems with the line. heres a photo of the rod, it only has a sticker saying "MUD JAYSON" and no other writing at all on it, and by gone i mean it has perished away with little rubber left in there so i get a knocking sound on roundabouts. Many thanx, Joe

I see you have a drop bracket AND an adjustable rod!!!!!

It looks as though standard bushes will fit OK, have you had a look on Roughtrax?

You'll be lucky to get an original replacement as (by the lack of sense the name makes) its probably a jap aftermarket rod.

If I were you, I'd take it off, measure it up and go and see if you can find something that will fit, or make one.

                Oh yeah... how bizarre...

Happy to swap a standard rod (with good bushes!) for your adjustable one with the fubarred bushes as you dont need it if you've got a drop bracket!

So what does a drop bracket do? and what is the use of this rod being adjustable?

Can't agree with you there. When I fitted my drop bracket all it did was line the rod up with the axle better. I still needed an adjustable rod to centre the axle properly.
