heres a couple of pics of Jokers old 3.0l engine.Can you spot whats wrong in the first pic of the block.The other 2 pics are just of the head but thats all looking ok.
Well, it would appear that the top of the engine is missing. That can cause problems in starting
Although there's a a lot of black at the front cylinder
the exhausts fallen off
...the fuel pump's in a funny place
......there's a belt missing
.........the top half of the engines fallen off
............there's a few hoses missing
This engine is well and truely seized up.I put a socket and long bar on the bottom pulley and jumped on the bar and it still wouldn't turn so Dave you done it good and proper mate...

Hmm, a trick question then. It's quite hard to spot a seized engine from a picture.

When my head was off, everything looked clean (ish) certainly no soot, although I guess the mechanic may have cleaned it before I got there, but as you say, two pistons were down in the block, so couldn't be cleaned.
