heres a couple of pics of Jokers old 3.0l engine.Can you spot whats wrong in the first pic of the block.The other 2 pics are just of the head but thats all looking ok.

Should everything be that black and sooty?
When my head was off, everything looked clean (ish) certainly no soot, although I guess the mechanic may have cleaned it before I got there, but as you say, two pistons were down in the block, so couldn't be cleaned.Rob
