I note you want something close to stock. I also note that LC springs are still being offered as a choice.

For stock, do not use LC springs. They are much taller and much stiffer than stock and will mean whether you like it or not you'll need to wind the torsion bars up a long way to level the truck, which will then give you a harsh ride from the front to match the new harsh ride from the rear!

If you're not sure whats under there at the moment, or what you need to do to sort it, then get someone local who knows to take a look.

Tony N is the man, but for one reason or another may be busy.

Apache is correct, the LC ones will be higher and harder ( I still think they drive fine but thats just my opinion) fitting uprated standard height springs and standard length shocks may be better for your needs.

Standard wheels will still be fine with this setup.

The LC springs are excellent for heavier payloads but perhaps to stiff for your intended use.

My truck will be getting LC's ES9000's and balljoint spacers with manual hubs but I intend to keep offroading as much as I can.

yoshies truck (blue truck) is setup like this but with the addition of 33" tyres and a 2" body lift

the grey truck is mine at present, fitted with uprated standard height springs and factory toyota shocks.

fitting springs and shocks to the rear is pretty straightforward.

I'm on LC springs too, and, like you, I'm OK with the hard ride. It would be nice if there was a spring with an at rest length which gave a 3" lift, but at the same spring rate as an original Surf spring. You'd get a better road ride (if a bit wobbly) and easier flex offroad.

I know you can get em custom wound. Wonder what the cost of having some made would be? I'm sure there's a market here...

I think the LC's are rated a bit too high for Surfs but they work great at lifting them so 33's can be fitted. Great for heavy payloads too.

Adjustable springs (like some motorbikes) would be the way forward.

your new shocks come with new bushes.

If your bumpstops look damaged then yes I would order them up.
