  • DEFRA restriction zone

Can anyone explain in simple terms what this means? http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/dise...czpz171007.pdf

Are we allowed to go laning in the control zones, or indeed the protection zone?

Would it be wise to stay away for the sake of greenlaning in general?

    TIA - Nero

Holy sh1t mate! Thats pretty much 'england'!

I cant make sense of all that what appears to be 'lawyerspeak' so I'd err on the side of caution until someone brighter than us comes along and explains it all.

All this f*ck-up because they cant maintain Pirbright properly eh? All coming back to bite their ar$e now eh?

Lets face it, Bluetongue mysteriously appearing so soon after F&M in a similar area to F&M right next door to a Govt Est working on transmissable animal diseases... Hmmm, those farmers spending so much time, money and energy into building herds ought to be able to take the Govt for a lot of money, but whats the betting they get stiffed like the rest of us?

      Too true,

i'm erring on the side of caution at the moment and frantically looking for a pay and play site to suggest for sunday rather than the kent lanes trip thats supposed to be happening.

I think I'd do the same TBH. Too many out there looking for any excuse to close our lanes permanently.

Give DEFRA Porton Down (they know LOTS about diseases, 'specially man made!) a shout and ask them. Doubt you'll get a straight answer out of them though...

Yeah, but no, but yeah, but no but like.....Shutup!!!

Ok.... got that out of my system, You can go greenlaning in certain areas that are still open to public use, BUT some sections of land with said lanes on are closed due to contagious illnesses.

But on a whole, it Could be perhaps wise NOT to go greenlaning, purly to show to our green little buddies that we DO give two sh!ts about the world we live in.

So, Forum says nooo.... Sorta thing

                    Clear?
