You are right John.NetworkRail have cut our budget back so much its a wonder any trains run at all
on the railway we are not allowed to change concrete sleepers manually any more because of h&s they have to be done by machine.
The railway then cancel the machine and then expect the workers to go out and change concrete sleepers manually knowing full well that they aint meant to.I know a few of you will say well don't do it then, but when you have got the safety of the trains and passengers you will still go ahead and change them manually cause if anything happened the following day you couldn't live with yourself knowing that you could of prevented the accident by changing those 6 concrete sleepers the previous night

in the real world that just cannt happen coz at the end of the day the job has to be done,there again i do work for hanson and if a vehicles reverse cam is broke then the vehicle is layed up til its fixed
