      RE: 2" Body Lift
It just seems like alot of work, with the risk that it can go wrong. I know i should undo the rad before i start, and the steering rack bolts, but should i undo anything else? Im aware that i should do a side ata time, allowing bolts to hold one side while i jack the other.

Am I unduly worried? Only it seems the cheapest way to get some height.

You ARE unduly worried. It's dead easy. Take it slow and keep an eye on anything that might get stretched while you're jacking.

there no need to worry about doing the lift. You will need to slacken the fuel filler pipe under the rear wheel arch also and do the drivers side first then the passenger side. You will need a couple of jacks tho to lift the body and only lift the body enough to get the spacers in

i wouldnt worry its a easy job to do.undo the ten body bolts, undo the fuel filler hose clips, undo the steering column bolts and steering column grommet bolts, cut out a little bit of steel around the h/l shifter on the front and cut out a bit from the steering column grommet, fit the rad drop brackets and the bumper drop brackets, fit the spacers and bolts.i dont think ive left anything out.

Probably bears mentioning that not all of those things neccessarily need to be done with all Surfs.

Didn't need to loosen the filler hose, or cut round the hi/lo shifter on mine. I actually forgot to undo the grommet, and now it's worn away

also i think on the body lift you have to undo the brakeline atattched to the rear axel so you got some play in the brake line and it don't get stretched

If you have a hacksaw and a drill and can lay your hands on a bit of steel sheet, you can make those bits yourself. Nowt to them.

Something else that must be different from truck to truck. I didn't need to do that and I've still got plenty of slack.
