Did you have the wind behind you and all the sails up? That usually helps increase the power

I just got a letter from Toyota UK today saying that my car will be called in within the next week to have a "steering modification". Does this mean I will be driving by wire then instead ?

Have you heard anything back yet dieselboy?

I had a letter today also! mine is booked in for monday the friendly guy at toyota said to leave space in my fuel tank and they will give me £10 worth. good service.

My next question to do the mod will they have to remove the aircon rad? if so will they regas it for me? as its low at the moment!! could save myself that cost to....

ive been under the car, i dont think they need to remove all that BUT
quickfit are doing this thing at the moment, where they gas your air con and if its not any cooler then you get your money back!

looking forward to going home bit more now

I finally got my letter from TGB yesterday stating that I will shortly receive an "invitation" to book mine in within the next two weeks.
Going to call my local dealer to book it in & see what I can blag off them for nought!!

I had mine done last week they needed the truck for two days in the end, when i got it back there was no fuel in like they said and the steering whell was out of line so its back in today for the free fuel and sort the wheel. it pays to have a moan at them!

all of you that are having the recall work done i would advise to check all the ball joints before hand and then check it again when you get the truck back

bloomin Toyota split the rubbers on the track rod ends and knackered 2 bolts that hold the bash plate on.They said they would repair the damage but wouldn't refund my fuel cost as they already gave me £10 of fuel.I said to them that was for the recall and not for any damage they did and for me to do a 50m round trip to get it repaired so in the end i told them where to go and repaired it myself

i will take pictures of the underneath. thanks for the warning!
