The gov has not taken this into account.( no surprise they only look at half the info)It's about time we were told the whole, unbiased truth, although this will never come from our gov as they are conditioned to lie to the populus to keep what they percieve to be the status quo and keep themselves in overpaid jobs.
    How about this then...

Volcanic eruptions cause global cooling by darkening the sky (adding particulates to the upper atmosphere and scattering UV back out of the atmosphere). 'Nuclear winter' does the same thing. Kill two birds with one stone...

...USA nuke Iran to stop the supposed development of Iranian nuke weapons program. Dust lifted into the upper atmosphere reduces global temperature by a degree or so. Sorted!

Disclaimer - I would never advocate a nuclear strike but there's no saying what 'Monkeyboy President' might do with the help of kind uncle Tony.

There's no list of cars. Just write in the appropriate box which one you'ld like to ban.

had a look at his votes page and decided to click on the contact page instead to send this little moan.

My comment is with regard to Jeremy Vine's poll as to what type of vehicle should be voted off the road; there is no box to tick for none of the above. My reason for this is that all the types nominated are useful or important.
Motorbikes: Useful for couriers taking important documents for businesses through congested city centres.
Lorries: How would goods be transported across the country? Not every business is connected to the already congested rail network.
4x4s: Useful for people living or working in rural areas. They are also popular with people in the construction industry.
Tractors: How would modern farming methods be carried out without tractors?
White vans: Again like lorries only on a smaller scale, how would goods be transported?
Horses: Many horse owners ride on byways, which would have long since disappeared if not for their efforts to keep them open for others to enjoy.
Caravans: Not everyone can afford holidays abroad. Also some people enjoy the basics of caravanning, instead of all-inclusive package deals.
Bicycles: If bicycles were banned there would be a lot more vehicles on the road.

There is nothing wrong about any type of vehicle using public roads; it’s one of the perks of living in a free and democratic country. People have a right to choose whatever mode of transport they feel like. What the problem is that some people, regardless of what they drive, will want to drive like and idiot and ruin it for everyone else. It is these people who give other owners of the same type of vehicle a bad name; leading to stereotypical views such as, the “white van man” cutting everyone up just to get a few cars ahead in a traffic jam.

It is not the vehicle that’s to blame, it’s the driver.

Surprise, surprise the 4x4 was voted the car people most wanted off the road (well that's what they're for I supose).

The vote was rigged in the end to skew it their way.....I went back to the vote page after two days and the format had been changed to a few checkboxes including, you guessed it, 4x4's! Well what a shock- half of brainwashed Joe Public went for that one.

What was never revealed was happened in the first two days of the vote when it was open to any vehicle and less suggestive. Apparently the Toyota Prius scored highly........so the form was changed!

Still it's nice to know we're all paying £131 per year BBC licences fees to get this drivel......

It was a fore-gone conclusion as soon as the term 4X4 was mentioned!

i think it was worth my licence fee just to read that thread, i enjoyed every moment of anti 4x4 bashing! and the fact that these tits are having to reply to the complaints. Not that it gonna make much difference. i met a woman in tescos whilst buying some veg to put in the truck, she asked if i was putting it in my car or doing alot of cooking so told her anout my car and they seemed impressed till i told them it was a 4x4 and they changed their minds straight away!!! I JUST TOLD THEM IT RUNS ON VEG OIL!!!! So the bbc has managed it convinced people that we are bad even when we are good! but i dont mind i like the arguments, sorry discussions .

Saying that i was filling up with oil in their carpark before getting some diesel and two lads, around 18 to 21, walked passed and made a comment about being eco friendly and it being good. so not all is lost at least some people know the score. I see it as my job to educate more in the ways of the veg!!! talking some people at work to do it at the mo they want to see how i get along first!
it never rain it pours! glad I got the 4X4

Just thought I'd drop him a question:

I’m a bit confused here. What car did you vote off the road?
I don’t see a make and model listed!
I mean surely you did bunch all types of vehicle together, that way we could just end up with vote cars off the road. If this happened I would not be able to go to work, as public transport hasn’t reached the south coast of England yet. I really need to continue working so you totally biased, and mis-informative radio show gets paid for.
We all know how biased you are towards a very vital sector of motoring community (I didn’t hear any complaints about 4X4s during the bad weather, mainly because we were pulling the rest of you out of ditches), but please try to use your show impartiality.

                      Bet I don't get a reply.
                      Gone from 4x4 to 1x2

I've given up trying to argue.... All you get back is drivel. Whilst the forum was down I was looking at the yahoo message boards, some dickhead on there was suggesting "direct action" against 4x4 drivers, personally I take that as a threat so I replied, quite amazing how people backtrack when challenged.

What bugs me is that I bought the truck, I tax it, I insure it & I pay for the MOT & repairs. This place used to be a free country, but i'm not sure anymore.

People are so blinkered now, I went onto motorbikes for a few years when I lived by myself, after that I bought an Austin Maestro, I remember only getting 18 - 25 mpg out of that.... Yet nobody complained. A collegue of mine has a rover P4-100 that only does 18mpg on full fat leaded petrol.

Jeremy vine should be shot, he is an self opinionated, argumentitive, pompus prat!
