stick to a push bike mate first of all credit cards you got to be joking all that stuff about being coverd the only dealers credit card s cover if at all` is the very ones you call greedy next er just how mutch do you think it costs to import surfs? so us dealers ar all greedy ? why dont you import yer own ` like er we always get them back to the uk exactly as described maybe i shuld tel the japs am not buying anymore until they let me pay them buy credit card` i bet the guy you purchased your bike from was over the moon when you came along

I'd consider a new trade if I was you coz you are obviously not cut out to be a car trader. Your customer service is non existant and your forum personality stinks.

Not sure you'll get a dealer to accept a credit card purchase for a 2nd hand motor, as their bank charges for the value you are looking at will be too big for them to accept against their margin. We tried this when buying my wife's Corsa earlier this year (£4750) and were told no way would they accept a CC, it had to be a cleared cheque for that amount.

Best of luck in trying to find one but I doubt you'll get a good deal if you can find a dealer to accept that form of payment.

Nah dont you believe it. The average charge is 2.5% and the dealer can pass that on to the custormer. I have spoken to 3 very big Surf dealers that are happy to take CC's but they say the customer has to pay the charges - which is fair enough.

Buying on CC is pretty standard these days and any dealer who wont take CC knows that if the car he sells is a crock then not only wil he have the customer to deal with, but the CC Company, Trading standards and so on.

If their cars are good they have nothing to loose do they?

I read in other posts elseware in the forum that sometimes these kinda arguments can get out of hand. I have said my bit and do not intend to enter into a bitch fest with mrsurf. Everyone can read my thread from the start and see exactly what was said and by whom.

I stand by all my comments and Im sure the good members of this forum will make what ever judgements they feel are warrented.

On a personal note: I try to treat everyone in the same manner that I would wish them to treat me. I am not a bilgerent or agressive person normally but if someone has a go at me I will stand up for myself.

I apoligise for any offence I may have caused the other members of this forum in my retaliation to mrsurfs comments.

I can sum this whole silly and frankly stupid affair using two sayings that pop to mind:

"Why Sir, I thinketh Mrsurf doth protest too much" and "If ya don't wanna get stung dont poke the wasps nest - leave them alone and they will leave you alone.

It's very sad to me that such people can even permiate an otherwise nice and friendly group of great people.
