  • Is this Surf over priced?

    Hi gang,

Can some of the more "wise" of you take a quick look at this surf I have found for sale on a dealers web site.

    http://www.selectmarques.co.uk/carpages1/37.htm

What do you guys think - seems a bit over priced but I may be wrong ?

    Thanks as always,

    Kenny

Bell end Billy has one for sale the same as that one why not consider his . A forum owned truck is generally a known vehicle as opposed to unknown trader one . His is alot cheaper too.

Price don't seem too bad but description doesn't match car shown "Expensive split rim alloys & chrome Cibie spots" it hasn't got.
Laugh!!! I nearly bought my own beer.

It's a nice looking motor, although I'm personally not keen on the light blue - prefer dark blue.

I would expect to pay around £4K, privately, for a 1995 2nd Gen model so this 1996 does seem a bit expensive, although it is the higher SSR-G model. If your keen on it I'd try to haggle the price down, using prices on EBay (completed listings) as a guide.

I'd say it might be slightly over priced. Obviously description doesn't match the pics as already said. The car in the pics has winter tyres on and also appears to have the original factory installed batteries which don't last much over 10 years. So new tyres and batteres for that one then (IMHO).
Plus I think that's the worst colour the 3rd gen ever came in, so i wouldn't buy it regardless of price!

Looks like a 3rd gen to me ?

On my personal taste, I think apart from an all black 3rd gen, this colour is the next nicest but its only my personal taste.

The thing is if you are happy with it Ken then go for it but i would want matching wheels on it tho full service and belt change and get whatever you can from the dealer for your money. There will always be something cheaper around the corner but it just depends how quick you want to get your surf and if you want to try and save some money at the same time.
I know i paid over the top on my 2nd gen 3l but seeing as mother inlaw lent me the money i never had a choice to get one elsewhere apart from the garage i got it from
Good luck with your search and if you get this one

i reckon the pictures (apart from the dash pic and the wheeel close up) are of another truck that shines up better or they had some pictures on file. all potentially a bit shifty...
                            try this one instead http://www.yotasurf.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=25685

Thats the 1 I suggested aswell Charlie . I would have this one if I was in need of a 3rd gen . Top spec for me .
