How does teh temperature sit now that you 'should' have a greater flow through the rad...?

The centre scoop has been turned around for the time being so it's like a large vent and the amount of hot air that comes out, is like having the bonnet removed!
The only problem with having a vent near the base on the windscreen on the passenger side, is that it's directing warm air from the engine bay into the fresh air intake for the interior heater, so when sitting in traffic, I've go no cool air in the cab. At least I know the vents are working.Last edited by BUSHWHACKER; 4 August 2006, 23:54.

Nice job Andy, Thats summat i've got planned, like the fan idea, was thinking along those lines only i was toying with the idea of fitting a fan in the scoop!
only not sure about clearance as i'm not planning a lift so i guess it's gonna have to be a fairly large (deep) scoop, It's a pity they charge so much for silicon hose though otherwise it'd be a fairly inexpensive mod,Too young to die and too old to give a toss

Can't really say about fuel ecomony yet - been towing horses around and lugging rubble so difficult to say.
The big difference has been torque. Long up hill runs used to slowly drain power. Now, the same hills present no problem - actually pick up speed on the way up the hill. Such novelty!
Yesterday, from Neath up to Top Dowlais (above Merthyr), three monster hills and the truck just flew up them.
The cooler itself is definitely working - the pipe coming out of the turbo gets quite warm, but the pipe coming out of the intercooler stays relativley cool, even after longer runs.
So, yes, I'm glad I done it.Another member of the 'A' team
