          • Lifesure works for me

Didn't try too many places but Lifesure gave me an excellent quote Me(52) + Wife(51) reasonable postcode with 5 points (which I managed to get all at once) NO alarm or immobiliser
£351 Lifetime No Claims bonus but £300 excess (ouch). This is £2 cheaper than the Suzuki GV Soft Top, so very pleased.

I asked how much the cost would go down if I fitted a nice new Cat 1 alarm, absolutely nothing was the reply !! Well pleased I didn't rush out and get one.

                • INSURANCE including Abroad and Breakdown Ins Abroad

                  Hello

I can't get any of these ins cos to quote online - the sticking point is the Hilux model - they only cover Pickups or Townaces. Footman James certainly specifically exclude grey / Jap imports in their website quote process.

So I assume you must all have got your insurances by telephone ?

Anyway, I wonder if anyone has got a decent deal which includes driving abroad [France] and also if possible breakdown ins abroad.

I have breakdown ins in UK with Greenflag which works fine here but they refuse to extend to abroad on any car over 10 years old - which mine is.

                  • Norwich Union best by far for me

46yrs 'young', 3pts, wife (3pts also), too many years no claims etc. And they rang me back on the Sunday following an enquiry from their web site the Saturday evening....

£249 Fully Comp, inc courtesy car.

                    • LifeSure was best I could find

Me (3pts, 0 ncb) and partner (6pts, 4yrs ncb) got some crazy quotes - like £1,400 - and lots for around £600. One place came in at £460 (Flux I think) then LifeSure did the business at £411 Many thanks to them. Good service over the phone too.
                      where's this bit go then?

                      • Give CIS a go. I got a quote of about £1500 online with 1 years no-claims.

They tend to hit you harder if you make many mods but that might only be the people i know who drive cars.

                            • I just got my re-newal through from Adrian Flux £413.

Never automaticaly accept your re-newal quote !

I rang them up and told them the AA online site came through at £297 (3.0L TD 4Runner). Sure enough they were able to 'adjust their percentages(???)' and re-quoted at £289....!!

So Fully Comp, 5 years NCB, semi rural address, 37 years old, no convictions, highly modified Surf. £289 not too bad I thought?
