I'm with Lifesure. £380 fully comp & protected , with a £300 excess. Said, the factory fitted alarm is ok for the Surf, but had it been a Sh*gun/Pa*ero, then it would have to be a Cat1 alarm system.
I've had my insurance since August 2003, had 2 claims, both blame free and 1 being a major shunt and got the repairs done hassle free. Lifesure are Ins brokers and put me with NIG, which I believe are a sister to Churchills.
They were the cheapest for my father in-laws Mitsi Challenger aswell.

Each time I've had to phone them, they've been very responsive and helpful.

Agree with Trev, I've been with Lifesure for about 14 years now and have always received a v.professional service.

                    Good price

Just insured my newly purchsed 94 3.0TD SSR-G with A-plan ( ask for Thatcham branch who specialise with imports ). I am 37, full NCB, added the trouble & strife as a named driver....£350!
                    Wa hoooo!

I tried quite a few, almost to the point of dispair and was about to walk away from my Surf. Then I tried A-Plan as a last go, they came back with £285 fully comp and commuting. I have max no claim and am 50+ years.
It actually worked out cheaper than my Disco.

                        Lifesure and .....

I am insured with Lifesure and it cost me £330 fully comp on a 92 2.4 TD Auto. They originally told me to get a Thatcham Class 1 alarm immobilser then rang me totally off their own back to say not to bother as it wasn't required.

That saved me a few hundred quid alone!

Top company, very few questions, nice people and excellent service. They even insured it on the chassis number until I got my plates.

                        Cheers

might save a bit on the premium by getting a cat 1 fitted... over a couple of years it will have paid for itself and you'll have peace of mind that you know it's getting nicked when it's beeping!
i'd have thought they'd specify it in an area like bristol?

                            Bristol...safe as houses here!

You are confusing this rural backwater with the dark and dangerous Berkshire wilds.

The Surf is out of sight of the road at night, and parked outside of the office window in a select area of Bristol all day.

Safe as houses it is....hang on, I am sure it was there the last time that I looked...oh bu**er!!

How long ago was this Rob?

I called them yesterday and got a similar quote, along with I MUST have a Cat 1 alarm.

If I could quote them something from you then, as you say, it will save a few hundred quids.

                              Cheers

                                cheap but not nasty

i went with i-sure, after AA came back with a quote of £600, this was on top of wanting thatcham imm. needless to say went elsewhere and i-sure wanted £220, that's more like it, especially as they didn't require an imm.
