Firstly may I start by saying hello to all members.

Just bought my first Surf and think it's brilliant for the age of the vehicle.

Started the usual service bits, changed oil and filter, fuel filter ( that was fun!!) and air filter.

Serviced the rear glass...

how do i know if i got a blown head or blocked radiator?

I have a 2nd Gen 3.0L TD Auto, It’s also black and on a sunny day heats up like an oven. We are planning on driving around the world in it fully loaded.

I'm about to set out and give the whole cooling system a good overhaul after spotting some furry deposits near the bottom of the rad....

I just signed up to this forum cos I have a suspected cracked head. I've viewed things on here lots of times before which has helped me out in the past.

My surf is a H reg (1991?) SSR-Ltd 2.4L TD. It is in pretty good shape apart from the recent cooling problems....
