The second quarry I am looking at is far more rocky than our usual haunt and slightly larger. If I get chance I will see the owners tomorrow, failing that, Thursday afternoon I am over that way again and will try then.
I have been on a quick explore over the site and think that it would offer a few hours play for those of a loony disposition.
If we get the OK, I will grab a few piccy's and post them here.

Well I did go back over that way today but unfortunatly the Quarry owner, though sympathetic to our needing a site to use for recreation and muckying our trucks, was not inclined to allow the use of his land. To paraphrase him, "If I give permision for you lot to use the site and someone gets hurt, injured, or causes damage to vehicles, in this age of claims and law suits, guess who is the easy target, the land owner, who for a back hander, gave permision and didnt have any insurance to cover the event"

It's not all doom and gloom though, my quest to find lanes in central and south Lancashire is comming on great guns. This taken with my phone today only 2 mile from Accrington town centre.
