At long last I have managed to track down and meet up with the new owners, and the good news is that we are OK for more trips to this site.

Due to the very wet conditions approaching the hill thou, we wont be able to use the site till the end of march earliest.

I am also going to see the landowner of another quarry (just off the A56 near accrington) later this week so watch this space.

The new owners are OK with the previous arrangement of £10 per vehicle for the days play, so sunday morning meets at mucky donalds b4 a quick run through sheep muck up to the quarry is now on again.

The second quarry I am looking at is far more rocky than our usual haunt and slightly larger. If I get chance I will see the owners tomorrow, failing that, Thursday afternoon I am over that way again and will try then.

I have been on a quick explore over the site and think that it would offer a few hours play for those of a loony disposition.
If we get the OK, I will grab a few piccy's and post them here.

We will have to make sure that the metal sheeting isnt covering up any deep shaft Jon, but if it is, at least we will have somewhere to put the rubish...

Done think there is a shaft there (left of usual play site) as some one went round and errected new fencing round all the shaft tops. it looked like it was just rubbish. if there is a hole bob will find it lol.
