I am sure that there r lots of us out here with a lot of experience that would come down and have a good look round and a play on your dads farm and help out to create a wonderful off road site. I for one would love to help out, just give me a shout and i will be there.

Id dig all the ruts u want lol.
Seriously ..... i would help, when i could, to build a custom off road course and test it too, as it would benifit all surfers. The more input the better in the classification of easy, medium or difficult routes.

It would defo need large twisting slopes, turns at the top for good axel twisting and nerve straining, bomb holes are also good to get out of.

If possible a hard rocky area with steps (No handrails!) is always a good learning spot.

When it comes to a mud run, the longer the better but if it varies in depth a couple of run outs for easy escape or rope rescues.

A similar aproach to an RTV trails event would be great as the vast majority of us use these as daily drivers. (RTV = road taxed vehicle).

If there is any help I can give I will. Either pm me or ring me on 07956 194444.

                            Guys,

                            I'm truly gutted!

I spoke to dad this afternoon about everyone coming round and playing in the mud.

At which point he said that he's selling the cows and that's it, farming finished! we lost six cows to a mistery illness in the summer, so he's made a loss this year. He's going to let the land to some farmer from Wales, so it all over.

i'm so gutted that everything I grew up with has all but gone. sorry, but they'll be no offroading here guys.

                            cheers for the support anyway.

                            Mart
Just trying to raise my postcount!

Sorry to hear that Mart. As a village lad (stuck in town now) I appreciate what you are losing. It's such a shame. Can't you talk your Dad into diversifying? You can get grants and stuff to start new ventures. The only thing going against you now is the townies chocolate box vision of what the countryside should be.

Sorry it's turning into a rant, but I feel very pasionate about what is happening to farms/farmers/the countryside.

I wish you and your family all the best.
                                It's only a hobby!
