    Probably should have fitted the gauge first,but I couldn't just fit your standard r spec type gauge that would be too easy ,granted it would have been fitted by now but where is the fun in copying everyone else.
    However I will admit to a slight amount of OCD as I fitted a datalogger to record the coolant temps over a 2 week period.

      @thrifty
      The original post was asking for ideas for cooling the 2.4 IMHO nah forget it
      I should realise by now that any thing you post after the 9 o'clock watershed is more than likely going to be garbage.
      If the original post had been made in the general section then fair play open to each and all but it was posted in the technical section,I don't know if it your sense of humour ? Or your troll like posts

        Just read this and have to say it's a bit of a mixed bag in it's results. Like most of the threads regarding the cooling issues. I am going down the route of fitting an electric fan to the front of the rad as well as leaving the viscous fan doing it's job. I found removing the rubber sealing strips helped too...mind you I even popped the bonnet at times when I was away last as I drove along..this seemed to help a fair bit too....so maybe bonnet vents are the way to go for me. The Aussie site got into where to put these for maximum effect...but I have to admit I have liked the look of the Trooper scoop mod for some time even though the Aussies suggest it's prob to far back on the bonnet.
        .... Which was nice.

          I too liked the look of Popeye's twin fan set up .
          However I am going down the route of 'natural' cooling not forced,ie oil cooler(s)ditched the under slung air con rad(the new air con is a work in progress),and will be doing the bonnet grilles when the intercooler is fitted.

                whats this bleed valve mod?

                before i removed my under slung ac condenser there were 2 fans on the top of it blowing air upwards, they were permanently on, but had to remove them as fixed to the condenser. will be refitting them to the under guard soon.

                just to note, i dont know if these are standard fitment or not. but looked aftermarket.
                well, that was a bad idea!

                  If you have removed the air con condensor do not bother hooking the fans up.
                  You wont need them and anyway they will fill up with mud

                                yeah there is a viscous behind the rad as normal and there is an electric one infront of the rad too. didnt notice it was there till yesterdays puddles and checking the rad for mud, im guessing it not normally there then?
