    Sticking my neck out here....

    In a word NO.

Let me spell out my thoughts

truck moving along the road air is passing through the radiator and into the engine bay , with the bonnet vents in place the air in the engine bay will exit out of the bonnet grilles.(along with passing out alongside the block and out past the suspension arms and along the transmission tunnel).

truck stationary , all the airflow is from the viscous fan so will do much the same but with less amount of force.

Like I mentioned earlier I have removed the bonnet side sealing strips and air IS being pushed out through the bonnet sides that is with the truck at a standstill, all the air movement is from the viscous fan.

HOWEVER above surf speeds then yes I can see what you mean about negative pressure ,hence grille splitters and floor pan spoilers.

Obviously any of you with a working knowledge of fluid dynamics please feel free.

      oooh...

      hang on...

      hang on...

      Nope, still no idea.

Just had a thought that slower air in the bay creates higher pressures, therefore forced out the vents. contrary to my previous statement. So I give up. Any aircraft designers out there?

There is a fairly extensive (4 pages) of info on the Aussie site, particularly as to how to face bonnet vents and where to place them to get the best result:

I fitted a Trooper scoop backwards. It seems to vent hot air quite well....See pics....

                  Lifted the bonnet at speed?

Is the correct answer, there are great big rubber bungs in them. They are in the wrong place for engine cooling and very much the wrong place for any Ram Air intake system.
Instead GM decided to fit a radiator the size of wales in order to keep it cool.

No. It's not a sealed unit.
And No, again, unless the Aircon ran at over 100% efficiency, actually running the aircon, must use more energy than it can put out. less than 100% efficiency means the conversion from one type of energy to another produces a by product, normally heat. The thing you are trying to get rid of.

                        Or something like that.

I could use that for the plane versus conveyor belt thread.

But to list the small improvements I have carried out so far to get the heat out of the engine and out of the engine bay are as follows...

                              New radiator .
Viscous fan silicon oil and set point wound down.
New lower temp fan thermo switch.

                              Bonnet side gaskets removed.
                              Still to do

Finish making up my ATF cooler (mkii) and install.
Relocate under slung air con condensor .
                              Fit accurate temperature gauge.
