it did cross my mind about the weight of the V8 engine compared to the diesel i had. i couldnt find the weight of either anywhere on the net and thought they are probably the same if anything the V8 will be lighter slightly? i will probably have to loosen them a bit has have them wound up tight at the moment.

In the absence of Vince (and no doubt he will be along to clarify) from what I remember the engine is significantly lighter to the point of effectively 'lifting' the front of the truck by a few inches.

i did the suspension lift a year ago and had the 2.4 in then. i do have the original bars so if the front seems too high due to the V8 not weighting the suspension down i will swap them back.

Exactly. You literally man handle the V8 around the garage as it's so light, the 2.4 diesel lump requires a forklift in comparison!
