No disrespect to you but I thought it would be easier if there was someone there that had done it before & knew the best way to go about it, I thought that maybe there's a routine to it so everything is done in some kind of order rather than trying to do one thing & then going back to do something that had been over looked, I'd be of little use & I'd hate for you to struggle over something or have to rush, I don't mind waiting until the new year if it means you'll have help from someone who has done it before who'll know exactly what order to do things in.

Sorry I hope that doesn't sound negative, I really do appreciate your offer but I think I would feel so guilty if you were trying to do this without help & I was sat there unable to do much, I've only just started using the wheelchair & I'm struggling to cope with the fact, I've hardly been out the past 14 months because of it, I was in it last sunday at Malvern & I didn't like my friends to push me as I felt guilty that I was taking up their time so I went off on my own, I do feel guilty when people do things for me & I would feel much worse if you did this on your own.

I hope you'll understand what I mean, I don't want to offend you.

    Cheers
    Ian

      hey, no problem...

We can leave it until later, i might even do mine this weekend as a pratice run. Can you let me know the sizes of the bolts as that is the only thing holding me up.

length and diameter would be great.

Let me know when you get your 2" lift kit and we will fit it in.

Cheers Bazzo, if you do get on with yours tomorrow do you think you could take notes/pictures?

        I just purchased some bolts this morning, you need 4 @ 165mm X 8.8, 4 @ 140 mm x 8.8 & 2 @ 125mm x 8.8 all the bolts have 8.8 on the heads so I presume that's the diameter.

        Cheers

8.8 is the strength/grade rating. The bolts need to be 12mm diameter, measured across the widest part threads.

Oh 8ugger, mine are only about 9mm that's why I thought the 8.8 might be it, I took the blocks/spacers in & got HT bolts to fit plus they fit the nuts that came with the blocks/spacers.

The original bolts are 10mm, but for a 2" bodylift it's wise to upgrade to 12mm due to the increased stresses by spacing the body away from the chassis.
