Ok, having taken all previous advice on board, I now have luckily had my brother go to the US so he is able to pick up the Aisin hubs and BJ spacers I ordered recently on the cheap.
Sledge will be bringing my 2" ES9000's to Monster Mania.
So the kit for lifting is getting there slowly.
Plan is to go for Landcruiser Springs to lift 3" and just cope with the fact that the shocks aren't quite the right length. However, I quite like the idea of Roughtrax 2" springs with spacers to make up the extra inch and to save me worrying about the LC springs popping out or having to get location cones for them.
As I said in previous thread one of my mian concerns was lifting without having to do too much more than the above (I know once you start going over a certain height you have to start tweaking loads of stuff!)
So, looked out some 1" spacers.... then surprise, surprise, next to the 1" spacers were some 2" spacers for the same money and being greedy this set me to thinking can I do a 4" suspension lift without tweaking too much else?
I guess I'm, just thinking, 33's are something I may think about in the future, so would a 4" suspension mean that if I wanted to I could fit 33's? yes the +2" shocks wont allow the springs to do all they can but I can always change them later (or will it be a problem to have them 2" different?)
I've steered away from a body lift as a) if I can do it via a job I'm doing anyway, then the extra inch is easy and b) I seem to remember someone (biohazard?) telling me that the body lift opens up the seam at the rear of the engine bay and allows more water ingress and I like dry feet.
So... stick with the LC's or go up to 4" sus without having to fiddle too much?
Sorry, seem to be unable to ask a question without rambling
