Also need to lengthen the rear brake compensator valve rod or you will have less rear braking . I know this as my new rear springs lifted the rear by 5" and I lost all rear braking . Very scary.

No Rod, at the moment I am banned from taking the surf off road (or green laning) as the last time I was doing tracks which only challenge trucks with fair size lifts were doing, so really steep drops and a lot of pinstripes late we were better.
problem is that it is Mum's surf so damaging it costs me my life (you know) so I am only allowed to drive it around farmland whilst shooting etc.
so mostly it is used as a daily road car that if needed can outperform any farmtruck in the area!! (apart from yota pickups which are quite battered).
for marshalling in the future I own a suzuki sj410 which will be challenge spec eventually hence why I know a fair bit (although I have always been mechanically minded in fact I knew exactly why there was a clunking noise on one of the previous cars before it was proffessionally diagnosed) so the surf will become a tow car to off road events and on some events such as safaris it will be the marshall truck.

Will Land-cruiser or hilux pickup FWH's fit??? as I don't fancy paying £55 from milners.
also how do I go about replacing the rear brake compensator valve rod for a longer one (or do I have to extend the original?)

only rarely does it carry 3 people and 1/2 a suzuki sj minus the body in the back. logs and large amount of stone maybe.
