Yeah Dave. It went off a road it shouldn't have been on!!! We got called out to close the road.
The C11 between Otter Ferry and Glendaruel (theres a cache up there,Rowan Glen i think). It was an agency driver. His first day workin with the company. He was a bit lost and when this happened at 1am and he done a runner!!!!!! The company spotted the tracker had not moved and he was in the middle on no where!!! and thats where it was.

Wonder if he turned up for work the next day???

Is that 4mm steel your using?

Marvelous job. I'm building a trailer this week for me boat. Man hands are in bits and I've used a dozen hacksaw blades don't have a proper saw and the steel was eating cutting discs by the box load.

          Cheers JB

There's a loose plate at the back of the chassis rail that matches the one welded to the sliders. Two 10mm bolts, one above the chassis, one below are threaded into the loose plate forming a clamp

ok i guessed as much. we were going to make a C section to go around the chassis and put bolts through on the back top to bottom (i think there is room?)

was it a pain to get the angles right?

I think im just going to have one tube down the side but not sure if it will look ok sticking out so far....

The angles weren't to bad. I just kept offering it up to the vehicle till i got it right. Even use a bit of wood as a template first since its easier to work with. You just need to watch where you put the plates onto the chassis. On the drivers side theres the fuel tank and pipes that run down the chassis with fixing clips etc so you need to avoid those when measuring up. I've made mine stick out so far so the high left jack can go onto the box section.

Just need to find some sticky on grip stuff for the tops and i'll be sorted
