Everyone's got a lot of catching up to do with you, Richard. You got three
in one week at one point.................. Shocking.

      One shall, however, prevail.

      • With regards to adding an extra electric pump to the system, that would
probably cause rather than cure problems. I know some have replaced the
mechanical water pump with an electric one, but running both together
might cause a problem. Have you got a picture of one? I could also be
        completely wrong again.

Trust me, the first time you get one, you'll be that overawed, you won't care
            if it's useful or not.

Yeah you could be right, the reason i asked is we fitted these pumps in addition to the busses engine pump as that was haveing trouble pumping it all the way to the front of the bus,
Thinking about it there may be problems with the circulation being too fast and not haveing time to cool in the rad, i dont know,
Was thinking of plumbing in another rad where the air-con cr@p is, when i get it out!

That could actually be worth working out a way to have one of those
thermostatic type valves open up and start the pump to direct some
flow through a secondary radiator. That wouldn't be interfering with
the mechanical flow, if it was setup right. I'll see if I can find any info
                      on that type of idea.

                      • If the coolant is flowing too fast, it won't stay in the radiator long enough to be cooled.

If it was regulated, (running at half voltage might work ), might not be
too bad an idea, though. Same type of principle as the engine and ATF
ancillary oil coolers. Found out the boxster has a multi rad setup.

                          • Thats why i wondered if a 24v motor ran half speed on 12v and would it pull too much amperage (?) or not,
thats a complicated system on the boxster,
Once i can start work on the truck again i'll get the aircon stuff off and have a measure up to see what size rad will fit in there, if i do the 2" lift that'll give me a bit more room,
I'll get a pic of this pump tomorrow,

For years basic D.C motor speed controllers merely varied the voltage, so
it may. Depends upon the motor. As to current, what rating is the motor?

I'll get a pic posted tomorrow and quote the info off its plate,

BTW is there a minority report censor on the forum?
Posted a reply to richards offer of a diagram and instructions Twice and it aint taken, so i guess they can tell if you intend to get too near the mark,
