  • Goodridge hose fitting...

I've just got a set Goodridge hoses from Roughtrax and have had a weird problem fitting them, I got one of the old ones off ok but when I tried to get the new hose on it would not go on.
The union on the metal front brake pipe (caliper end) has slightly flared out on its un-threaded end preventing it from going into the new pipe thread, the actual pipe goes in ok though.
I managed to get the old pipe back on for now,it looks like the union has been over tightened at the factory causing it to spread at the end. Has anyone had this before?
I don't want to replace the metal pipes or unions if I don't have to especially the inboard ones, I could probably true up the unions with a needle file but it will be a pita!

Have you got the part numbers? I assume that the pipes you changed were the short ones on the calipers.
I've got the problem that the inboard pipes also have flared unions and I don't want to touch those if I can help it also all the metal pipes look almost new.
      Thanks for any info charvell.

I swapped the front hoses only for the good ridge ones, didn't have a problem.
The fittings into the securing lugs were slightly different but fixed ok. Not done the hose to the rear brakes yet.
