After spending a few hours on hear, I'll just ask...
After changing the oil, a few times in both of the Surfs (2nd gen, 3.0l G's), it seemed a simple task..
So my old man goes out, without me and does his one yesterday. After changing the oil, the dipstick says there's too much oil, by a long way.. He said he measured the amount that came out and put in the same amount.. About 8 pints (4.5l).. Which is not the amount I thought should come out, anyway.. Thought it should be more like 6.5l
Also, after he drove it back into it's spot on the drive, it now won't move, when in drive or reverse..
So, after leaving it, over night, it still showed the oil to be way over.. We emptied about 3 pints out and have run it, without the oil cap on, too see if it's air problem... Now waiting for it to settle..
But would too much oil stop it finding a gear (sensors?) or is that something else? Bearing in mind, it was fine before the oil change..
