    Original ones have a little bolt in the grease nipple hole, to seal it from dirt and stop it getting damaged, you just need to get some nipples and fit them to grease original ones.

      The squeakes come back, not as bad as it was but it's still squeaking.

      I thought it was the little arm that connects to the balljoint, where the arm flexes at its connection to the main wishbone body. At the top middle right of the picture.

      But I think you might be right, it could be the ball joint itself.

      The couple of inches increase in ride height must have aggravated it and it's squeaking about the change.

      I'll replace it and see.

        If that little arm is flexing then you got problems. It's a big chunk of forged steel that's riveted solidly to the control arm and should not move at all. If it flexes it will snap off.
