afternoon all
after some advice as usual.
I'm just about to fit an additional transmission cooler to the truck but had a niggling thought regarding the viscious fan.
If what I read is right, when the engine's cool the fan should be able to be spun by hand, although not whizz around and when the engine's hot it should be very stiff the turn by hand.
On mine it's easy to move by hand whether the engine is hot or not so I think the oil in the viscious hub has gone (the truck is 15 years old after all).
I've done a search and it looks like I can re-fill it.
My questions are what kind of fluid goes in, where can I get it from and do I just take it to bits or is there a fill hole
anyone help????
