      Would there be much work involved converting a 2lt to the electrics of my 2lte?

        to much, you need a crankshaft position sensor vor EFI motors, its done by a hole in block inline with crank, and a notch on crank to trigger sensor, none of which the 2L block has.

            Hi again guys and an update to my overheating problem....While i was trying to burp the cooling system i noticed bubbles of air coming out of the side of the head. As stated before it has a brand new head. Obviously this is the cause of the overheating. Could it be a botched head job and simply a new head gasket to be fitted will cure the problem???
            Really appreciate your help.......

              I would check the touque on the bolts
              If at first you don't succeed.........give up.
