Tried that
Hi Richard
Tried that, that's if I've done it right, there's a little screw on top of the fuel filter I undid that and tried to pump as you said, couldn't see anything moving except the spring to be honest?
That said, if it is that there was no 'pressure' apart from in the spring. Also in the fuse box under the bit that's marked fuel warmer, there is just a blank square that looks like something should be plugged in like a fuse? It's about 3/4 inch square'ish?
Batteries are starting to get low now To charge the batteries do I need to do it in any particular order? as there are two, if I disconnect and leave on the truck and take the charger out there on extension lead is that ok?
Thanks

you don't need to undo that little screw on the plunger at all.Just pump it up till it gets stiff..( keep it clean please) if it dont the try some viagra.
just disconnect the one battery and put it on charge while still on the truck as that will be ok
that blank fues fuel warmer only certain truck had the heated fuel primer/heater fitted so you probably haven't got it so no need for the fusehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/henpals/

lol... thanks Richard.. I think I must be either doing something wrong, or stupid, or both! lmfao
But the thing on top of the fuel filter did not appear to have any movement unless I undid the screw. Also, I have now tightened it down, is it possible to tighten it down too far... worried now? eeek!Love me Love my Surf!

I worked it out
Hi Richard,
Got the battery on charge now.
Yes, I think it's the fuel primer. I worked it out. After about 8 or 10 pumps it feels the same still. I'll have the one you have if that's ok. If it's easy enough to put on I'll have a go myself, if someone wouldn't mind explaining how to do it, it doesn't sound like it'll be that difficult, not a huge major part is it?
I'll email you so you can send me details of how to pay you, that'd be awesome. ThanksLove me Love my Surf!

All you need to do is take the fuel filter off and then the 2 x 12mm bolts that hold it to the bracket and thats it.
Paypal is to stormforce1067@sky.comhttps://www.facebook.com/groups/henpals/

I'll get the paypal payment to you now, don't worry too much if you can't get to the post office??? I don't know what the roads are like with you down there. Main roads ok here, just side roads bad.
Will I have to drain any fuel or do anything like that when I change this? sorry to keep picking your brains... lolLove me Love my Surf!
