The hose connector is now definately fixed. Not sure if its a boost sensor as there was no image or mention of it in the manual you directed me towards last night, despite mine also being a 1KZ-TE as per the manual. The hose connector is a brownishand as I said, may be missing a filter end - although if it is a filter like the VSV's surely it should still do its job?

I meant we need a photo to see what has been superglued so we're all reading the same 'page'.

Looking at the V.S.V, you should have two ports very close together and then one protruding at a right angle to those two ports at the opposite end of the valve. Which port isn't connected at the moment?

The 2 VSV's are a ceramic or hard plastic and each have 2 vacuum hose connectors. This item, which resides under the throttle body and connects to the underside of what looks like an advance and retard vacuum housing bolted onto the inlet manifold, is made of the same material but is a lovely brown colour. I'm not suggesting this is the source of the problem though, as I am not a machanic.

We're going to need photos. It could be absolutely anything you're describing.

Everything is connected and the previously snapped off vacuum nipple is securely in place. The problem seems to be that I can't identify what it actually is called. Can't get a picture right now as I don't have a good light and I've cleaned up.

I'll take a few by daylight. Will I have to start a new thread?

Oh hell no. You've already got two on the go regarding this. Just post the pics in this thread. Btw, this thread will probably be in the 3.0L tech section come tomorrow, just incase it moves and you start wondering where it went.

No pics as the part is properly put together and holding a vacuum. But the turbo stll does not come in. I know the turbo is working as there is no smoke coming out the exhaust and wonder if it is in limp mode. If that were so what do I have to do to clear it. The manual mentions removing the F-HTR fuse whilst the car ignition is switched off but unfortunately does not indicate where this elusive fuse is located. Also it mentions that this applies to fault codes 1 thru 10, and I got a 14. Any thoughts?
