Just wanted to get everybody's opinion on this. Going to do my oil change in a day or two, and I have bought a small tin of engine flush.
However I heard a horror story about a friend of a friend of someones aunty, that after they flushed out an engine on an old car similar to mine, they got tonnes of crap out of the sump all well and good, but after that they couldnt maintain oil pressure and ended up scrapping the car after being unable to find the cause, and consequently blamed it on the flush!
Any body suffered a similar fate, or should I just crack on with the flush with fingers crossed??
Also, can anybody recommend where i can find a really thin walled socket. The guy who previously owned my truck has put odd wheel nuts on all the wheels, all of which have very small nut holes, and as a consequence i cant get near them with a socket! The closest ive got to is with a box socket for removing sparkplugs, but it doesnt have the strength to get them off!
If I ever get them off I will be looking to replace the wheels all together if anybody on here has a set for sale??
Many thanks!
Ed
