gearbox help

Once box is split from engine what holds the torque convertor on.

How do I separate the large metal dome from the engine is it bolted as I can't see any.

Six bolts hold it to the flex plate on the engine, turn the engine via the crank pully bolt to get at the bolts. You'll probably have to pry it off when the bolts are removed though.

Found them now. The engine and box are out as its Wattys truck and its getting a new bottom end, after bending two con rods, after taking a drink of drumclog last week.

Hi always leave torque converter connected to gearbox.
