Just spoke to roughtrax who said that as long as you use the left spring on the left and the right on the right, there should be no need for the bracket.

    Gonna fit mine and test.

    Ciao for now.

    Ron.
My springs were handed and the height when finished was equall!

but It still sticks out 3cm to the drivers side!

I havn't a body lift so dont know whats going on!

I have heard there is some factory offset already present just most people dont notice untill they fit the springs, then like me they cant remember what It was like b4!!!

      Hi Neil

I have just drawn out the movement on the Panhard rod on my desk. With a lift of 3" and the panhard rod hole pitch of 37" it should push the axel 10mm approx to the drivers side. This as you can see is 1/3 of what you are looking for ,mabe the error is in the datum you are measuring from.

      Good luck

Thanks for input as I said earlier It depends on the original location and factory tolerances, as to what they are I havn't a clue!

The fact remains the o/s tyre is approx 3cm over to the o/s compared to the n/s! After the lift!

It would appear then that even with a drop bracket It would still stick out
2cm to the o/s! Which is what It must have always been!

I will let you know when I install the bracket, If theory complements practise!

        Many thanks

Looks like you need a half set of wheel spacers!

Get a pair of 3" spacers and bolt on to one side only - bingo!

Same thing on mine, my drivers wheel stuck out a lot further than the passanger, and I've got 33" tyres so it was noticable. I just did the panhard rod exstension so it still looks legal and nothing else was changed, brought it back nice and level.

              Thats it Dan....i'm moving!

Will wait to see what my panhard does with 2"!

My current measurements are 19.5" front hub centre to underside of wheel arch extension and 20" at the rear - not good!

Think i will be buying these springs this week!

You were spot on with those calculations!
                  Me, I need a lobotmy(or new glasses)
I was taking a line of sight from the end of the side rails and YES they had been pushed in a couple of cm's!
So it is actually only 1cm out and had I the brains to realise that, I wouldn't have bothered with the bracket! It's still being made so I guess It's gonna get fitted now anyway!

Dont you just luv it when that happens?

Took this pic doing Monkeys truck, with +2" rear coils, the bracket is this far out.

Easily pops in with someone leaning on the car, the axle 4 link brakets probably vary by more than at manufacture.

Easy to cut and sleeve the rod if it bothers you, But I'd still rather lower the chassis end bracket to get the panhard rod back to the correct angle than alter the rod itself, may try it with Lindas truck one day. Interesting to note that Linda's lifted truck was slightly lower than Monkey's with its fresh springs, so they settle a little, reducing the misalignment even more.

yeah my OME springs have settled 1/2 inch now, but that has still given me 2 1/2 inch lift!
I'll post some pics of the drop bracket when It's been fitted!

Mine hasn't moved laterally from what i can see..... although my rear springs were not apparently sided and my truck sits slightly higher on one side now!
Time to lift the rear again and swap them i think! Ah well - at least it wasn't those damn coil-overs, what a nightmare getting those back under the arches!!

My panhard has barely moved if at all and i drew the geometry out in Autocad which indicated naff all geometry change - a matter of mill!
I guess if you actually undo the panhard then you will get a shift / settlement in all links, perhaps making the shift shown on the photo...?

Also found that my front Driveshafts are barely off the horizontal so unless on full extension / compression, they shouldn't be significantly more stressed.

Looks better and handles better, although there is still a small amount of shudder from the front end on washboard hits, with the larger bumps being soaked perfectly!

Kitesurf - am from Uk originally (E.sussex) and moved to Aus 3 years ago, and don't want to leave, love it !! I did have 3" springs in the rear which settled to 2.5" thats why i did the panhard rod. the easist thing to do is to cut it and sleeve it as TonyN said, still looks legal and returns everything back to normal.

Haven't noticed any thing bad about it not being at the correct angle.
With the springs, their should be one slightly taller one for the fuel tank side and the drivers weight.
                            cheers
                            Dan.

Just got new springs for my 2.4 and drivers side is 5mm longer.

                                Hi Dan,
You're one of the lucky ones, eh?

                                I'm still here contemplating!

The springs i was sent (apparently ProComp) appeared not to be taller on one side and weer not marked either!

The tank is on the opposite side to the driver also! The level difference is barely noticeable unless you are looking for it - i will take some photo's of the new lift.

As for the Panhard - i put a straight edge down the body and the offsets on mine haven't altered much, if at all!

                                Nice truck by the way!
