Power steering fluid

Hi all, checked my power steering fluid at the weekend ( fiest time in two years) and it seems low, as there was none on the little dip stick when cold.

I read in the stickies that this is just dexron ATF, so my question is this;

1) What is likely to be in there at the moment

2) can I put any old ATF in, or does it have to be dexron

3) can I mix and match ATF?

4) if I'm unsure would it be best to change it, and if so how?

Dexron II or III, the same stuff that you'd use in an auto transmission.

Shame on ya Rob..... Do ya have a leak ???
Only checked my last truck 2 or 3 times in 6 n half years n never ever needed to top it up !!

There's always a Payback .... Ya just never see it Comin !!!!

Maybe it'll be alright then, just didn't want it to pack up half way up a Welsh mountain
