And 2ft of water shouldn't bother you in a standard Surf on ATs.

Really depends on if you are looking at a Land Cruiser Colorado, which is the 90 series.
Or the latest Land Cruisers which are the LC3, LC4, LC5.

These are all the 120 series
There is of course the huge Amazon's they are the 100 series, and now, last month came out with the revamp, which is called the 200 series.

Names like Colorado, and Prado, are country specific.
      Series numbers are worldwide.
The Colorado, 90 series is an upgraded Surf.

Ultimately the LC 120 series are top of the tree.

They have center locking diff. and rear locking diff,

Center locking is selected on the small lever adjacent to the main auto selection stick,
      Select
      High unlocked
      High locked (remember center)
      Low locked
or lock the rear diff with an electric dash switch.

Speed limit with rear diff locked is AFAIR 10mph.

I would imagine with center lock, and rear lock, a good set of tyres would almost take you anywhere.

The 120 series LC are full time 4 wheel drive, with no option to have only rear (2 wheel) drive.
Since Toyota make the best 4 wheel drive system on the market, it makes full sense to opt for the permanent 4x4.
