Try the pro-comp es3000's if your surf is standard

I'll go along with that, I've got the 9000's and they are very firm, so in hind sight, I would have gone for the 3000's.

Yeah I have had a look at these but for a few extra pennies I can get the ES9000. My main question is how do you change the settings ?

ES9000s are harder, thats all, not better.

IMHO if you are gonna use your truck off road, you'd be better with the softer ES3000s. As Richard has said, combined with LC80 springs, the ride is pretty good.

Having said that, I've still got the original Toyota shocks up front. When I change them, it will be for ES3000s, or a non-rusting equivalent!

You cant change the settings on aftermarket shocks.

Okay thanks for the advice a full set of ES3000 are on there way. Anything I should watch for when fitting ? I hope this will get rid of the rattle noise that comes from the jeep every time I go over a bump and stop the rodeo show every time I brake I feel like Zeberdee with all this bouncing.

just remember to tape up the ends of the cables going to the old shocks so not to let water in

I would recommend Bilsteins, they are excellent.
