thraping; from the greek. thrape, to throw caution to one side, to make undue haste, to not pay proper heed to the long term health of your chosen means of transport.it's in me shed, mate.

Just to update you. I went out this morning and after 6-5 goes, she fired up (with a bit of help from the escort!). Took her for a spin of about 6 miles. I managed to stall her when turning. As I turned the wheel, there was a judder, then she stalled, as though there wasn't enough fuel getting through.
She's lost all performance and is chucking out loads of black stuff. The temp is staying normal though, which is a good thing.
Once home, I slackened off the fuel pump a little and tilted it very slightly clockwise towards the engine. After tightening all the bolts up, I started her and she ran much quieter, though still not as she should, with no 'performance', though I think with slightly less black smoke.
Cheers for all your advice guys, I'm still a bit puzzled though, as the timing etc is as it should be!

Also, try resetting the ECU by pulling the ECD relay or disconnecting the
batteries for 15 minutes."Canis Auxilio Servimus"
