Just changed my rad and used the half pop bottle method to burp the system.
Have I done half a job?
the coolant system has been drained and refilled, or if a sizable amount of the
coolant has been replaced. It is merely one of those extra little gizmo's for
certain people, , whom tend to arse about with their cooling systems a
tad more than normal.

Rotten sod. I ended up making a MKII version because of that comment. I
tried to resist, I really did, but couldn't settle until I'd made one. So, here
are the pics of the bleed adaptor MKII. It still has the specific air bleed only
fitting, and I've added a hose feedback now as well for the full blown job.

It does look great, but why? The heater valve is 3" from where these valves are fitted and the same height.
Just pull the hose off the valve slighty while its running to let the air escape. I always fill them from the heater valve hose till it comes out the rad cap hole, put the cap on, keep filling to it backs up out the valve itself and plonk the hose on.
But your obviously having fun...................
