Air bleed adaptor

Used the general design that Geoff, (Rubblebags), posted once to make one.
What we think? Used ordinary fittings and olives for the clamp saddles.

Oh well. I'm late to the ball, again........ oh hum........ Does it make it
easier to bleed the system?

This is what is going to be the new bypass filter housing if everything goes to
plan. Just have to make an adaptor plate for the rear to connect the inlet &
outlet pipes to, and then sort the filter medium out.

Oh yeah!

I can attatch a hose to the spout on the bleed valve, and poke the other end into the thermostat housing, and with the engine running just keep topping up once the thermostat has opened.

What's it like for just letting air escape? The one I've done doesn't have the
coolant feedback facility, so it'll just be an air release.

Actually, yours is better at releasing air, as that is the same sort of bleed valve that Renault put in the rad hoses on some of their vans.
I can still release air with mine, ........engine running up to temp, un-screw valve untill coolant starts coming out, tighten valve.

if you do one like bushwackers,(and mine) you can put a hose on it and back flush the system. you can even drink a cup of tea while you do it!

Already made sure I can easily whip the matrix hose of for doing that. Have
a little adaptor to fit on the end of the hose that wedges in nicely as well.
I hope this adaptor lasts a tad longer than my previous rad top hose adaptor.
I think I'm going to solder a ground wire to it before I fit it, just in case.
