When you switch on the air con at tickover the revs rise to allow for the extra drag on the compressor,it may negate the extra you have from the intercooler.
http://www.alcohol-injection.com/ is a good place to start, there kits are good prices, the idea behind using water/meth is that the fluid asborbs heat as it is injected into the inlet manifold-and the good thing about using water/meth is that the water takes a lot of heat but quite slowley and the meth takes less heat but asborbs it more quickley,so you end up with the best of both worlds, also you can have a pressure switch so it only works on boost and not all the time.

Only downside of alcohol based variations are that it's bl0ody volatile and
      highly flammable.

          Intercoolers

From my recollections of HND heat engines, any engine runs better on cold days because the volumetric efficiency is improved, you get a greater weight of cold air per volume than when the air is hot. As the chemical reaction is related to the weight of charge the output is improved. By the same token cooling the air after turbocharging generally improves the volumetric efficiency, hence better running and improved power. In addition inter cooling can greatly reduce the temperature of the pistons when running hard, so is a good thing in all ways.
Vauxhall/BMW (the Senator, I think it is) engines have a sweet intercooler in cast aluminium which is relatively easy to fit in the bird cage so no scoop is needed (it sits on the offside of the radiator in a Vauxhall). I bought mine from the s$$$$yard for £20.00, including hoses.

I was talking about intercooler options today. My mate had a Renault 5 and fitted a water intercooler to it. This has the advantage of enabling you to fit shortest possible air tract, yet fit the water rad at the front of the car where it gets best cooling. The intercooler itself sits in a water jacket, which is cooled by the rad at the front of the car.

More complex but the best of all worlds.
